A wonderful small batch high-rye bourbon produced in Colorado. The mash bill for Breckenridge contains 56% yellow corn, 38% green rye and 6% unmalted barley, and it's aged for 2 to 3 years in American white oak 53 gallon barrels. Recently this gem of a whiskey was awarded a Gold medal at the 2011 International Wine and Spirits Competition in the UK - one of just three awarded that year!
Nose: Aromatic with caramel, toffee apples, coffee beans and gloriously sweet, spicy barrel char. Oodles of rye and vanilla custard.
Palate: Sweet and oaky, stewed fruit, vanilla, crème caramel, porridge oats and rye. Gloriously rounded and balanced.
Finish: Long and spiced, sweet oak and vanilla.
Overall: A classic bourbon, and a really, really good one at that!

Fantastic. Couldn't find some after word of mouth picked up but now starting to see some come back.

Deliciously smooth, fantastic flavor profile. Don't buy this here, this is phenomenally overprices. Agree with the previous reviewer: This cost me $36 for a bottle.

This bottle should go for no more than 40 a bottle. Most places you find it for 36.

Smooth, sweet & spicy. The balance between all three is perfect. I love this Bourbon, you can see why it was awarded a gold medal.
