40 Year Old Whisky

Forty (40) Year Old Whisky is really a rare treat indeed. There are very few casks which survive the maturation process with enough vivacity left in them to make truly great whisky, and you can rest assured that whiskies that reach 40 years old will be really incredibly complex, often having lost over 50% of the cask’s contents to evaporation.

40 year old whisky is very often bestowed as a 40th Birthday present as a mark of tremendous respect for the recipient. Other occasions on which 40 year old whisky can be given include Fathers Day, and Christmas Presents.

Forty year old whisky is ultra-rare, normally very complex, and incredibly mellow and supple.

1971 was a memorable year for many people - here are some of the most memorable moments:

In May of 1971, South Park lovers everywhere would have raised a glass for the birth of Matt Stone, the aforementioned cartoon’s co-creator.

Later that year, the illustrious actor Mark Wahlberg was born, we’ve sure he enjoys a good glass of bourbon or Scotch. PCWorld.ca listed Mark Wahlberg’s computer game “Marky Mark: Make My Video” as the 8th Worst Video Game of All Time (this award also reminds us of the overindulgent use of the phrase “of all time” when included in the title of an award. Since computer games have only been around for a few decades, there is no need for this melodramatic expression. It’s a bit like having an award for “Best 21st Century Event of All Time” or “Best Tom Cruise Film of All Time” (the second award would obviously go to the classic “Top Gun”). Should it have been an award for something that had been around since documented history, such as “Best Lizard”, “Best Numeric System”, or “Best Calendar”, the phrase “of all time” might fit. That is all.).
