Carsebridge 40 Year Old 1982 (cask 17782) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
A rare old single grain Scotch from the long-lost Carsebridge distillery, independently bottled by Douglas Laing in 2023. Distilled in 1982 (the year before Carsebridge closed its doors for good), this whisky spent the next 40 years maturing in a refill hogshead, yielding an outturn of 194 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Producer
A nose which is rich, round, and redolent prefaces a palate full of the gentlest subtle spices, cereal, and honeycomb, ahead of a maple syrup-inspired finish.
