Description

Whiskyland loves a birthday, and this 40-year-old Ardmore is a celebration in itself. A marriage of two refill hogsheads, bottled at a cask strength 43.8% ABV, it lands soft, peaty, waxy and honeyed with whispers of Brora like farmyard earthiness.

Nose

Heather smoke, beeswax, dried grass, honey and soft old dunnage earth.

Palate

Elegant peat, waxy sweetness, warm honey, old oak and a hint of farmyard charm.

Finish

Long, gentle and softly smoky. Honey, wax and Highland herbs.
