Glenglassaugh The Spirit Drink That Blushes to Speak Its Name

Spirit That Blushes Bottling Note

The follow on from Glenglassaugh's "The Spirit Drink That Dare Not Speak Its Name". This "blushes" thanks to its six month ageing in Californian red wine casks. This is not whisky because it is less that three years old, but is still a remarkable spirit, well worth trying if you are interested in the affects of whisky maturation. There are just 8,000 bottles of this.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Very malty and cereal rich. The red wine cask has brought about orchard fruits, grapes and citrus. Fruity and youthful.

Palate: Big and fruity, spiced even. Very interesting character. Just imagine if this had been laid down in the cask for a decade!

Finish: A long, powerful finish.
