Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet spices and hints of cocoa. A little apricot and honey.

Palate: Bitter dark chocolate melds with a wall of thick, sweet spice and bittersweet potpourri. Tangy oak and the faintest hint of truffle.

Finish: Long finish with tangy cocoa, allspice and honey.

Overall: A buttery, spicy little brandy - perfect for pairing with coffee and dark chocolate after a fine meal.

Château du Tariquet XO Reviews

A lot going on

Smooth, complex. The nose is chocolate éclairs, there's oaky vanilla mingled with sweet spice on the taste. It's light and fruity and has a really nice long finish on it

This armagnac is truly exceptional for its price. The burst of fruit in the mouth is long lasting before the final hit of warmth. Its a good find

Lovely balance and wonderful pleasure.

Purchased some recently: the nose is very warm with bread and chocolate, the palate spicy with honey. A really lovely drop, which has reminded me of just how excellent the older types of distilled wines can be. Much finer and more nuanced than a similarly priced Cognac I tried recently, although it is a very different type of brandy. Very highly recommended.
