anCnoc 16 Bottling Note

The Knockdhu distillery started bottling their whiskies under the anCnoc label, to help avoid confusion with the Knockando distillery. This was matured for 16 years in bourbon barrels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fruity and fresh. Floral notes, barley. Honey, apples, herbal.

Palate: Fresh, crisp with fruit and freshly cut timber. Perfume, barley, vanilla, orchard fruits.

Finish: Good length, cereals, walnut, oak.

very good single malt

a good Scotch Single Malt, nose is bourbon-ey and sweetness, tasting - spices, oak, vanilla, fruit, alcohol sting, dryness develops, tannins. a long finish and after-taste. overall, very good. the 12 is also good but with the younger whisky feel but still very value-for money

Mixed view

Read great things about this, but to me it wasn't quite all there, although very nice. Seemed strong, medicinal, but floral and sweet too. Interesting, but not top of my list for a repeat purchase

Bang on!

This was the hands down favourite at a whisky tasting I did at my local. Ignore the poncey packaging and try it!

@Is this likely to be in stock before Christmas?

We can't really say, I'm afraid. However, do check back, as we will immediately list any new stock that we get in. --The Chaps at Master of Malt

was skeptical but now no regrets!

I was nervous spending so much on my first bottling from this distillery, but oh my is it fantastic. I read tasting notes for this referencing fresh fruit tea, and that is spot on, i feel like im nosing and tasting sweet fruit tea with some fresh grass notes in the nose, and a slight oaky vanilla in the taste. Fantastic dram, in my top ten.
