Matured for eight years in a single first-fill Oloroso sherry cask, this spectacular Speysider from Knockdhu is brought to us by GreatDrams, for its Single Cask Series. The whisky was distilled back in April 2013 and bottled up in October 2021 and has a magnificently sherried profile. You don't see all that much indie Knockdhu these days – an exciting bottling!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich wafts of coffee and malt, dried, sherried fruits, and warming baking spice.
Palate
Bold oak and rich barley lead the way with sweet honey, soaked sultanas, and nutty spice.
Finish
Dark fruit cake notes, with cinnamon, a touch of clove, toffee sauce, and spiced cedar.
