Given all-new packaging in 2015, Inchmurrin is a single malt from Loch Lomond distillery named after the largest fresh water island in the British Isles (located on the Loch, which itself is the largest inland stretch of water in Great Britain by surface area).
Nose: Fruity, zesty aromas. Hints of caramel, malt and lychee. Orange rinds.
Palate: Candied lemon and tropical fruit, with a core development of sweet vanilla and gingerbread. An incredibly fruity little whisky, just building away on fruit 'n' nut chocolate bars.
Finish: Long, warming finish. Stem ginger and pineapple.

Tried this last evening for the first time. It is probably the fruitiest malt whisky I have ever tasted - in a good way. It's very smooth and the finish is long and perfumey in a way that's reminiscent of an excellent Glendullan I had a few years back. I enjoyed it even more knowing that I'd bought it for just less than £50 in one of MoM's daily deals. A veritable bargain!

It's OK, we all have different pallets etc but, is this worth nearly 80 quid, in a word no, it has plenty going on in the mouth but in a blind tasting I'd never say this mouths like a 18 year old, a little harsh needs another few years, for enjoyment purposes v cost I prefer the Chivas Regal 18 year old

Excellent all round taste. Although I do prefer peaty whiskies this is beautifully balanced and smooth on the palate.

If you like whisky on the sweeter side this would suit you, there are some bitter tones which compliment the sweetness. For me the overriding flavour is caramel. I was hoping for more from an 18 yr old, probably just doesn’t suit my pallet. For something similar, less money and maybe more enjoyable I’d likely pick up a Glen Moray 16 or a Tomatin

That's an amazing female winner tonight. Tangerine, sweet dried fruits on the nose, candy pear, figs, lychee. On the palate a Hmmmmm, long raspberry maramalade with orange cabdy, gingerbread and Creme brulee. Astonishing add-on of some unpredictable grassyness. Very complex.
