Inchmurrin 13 Year Old 2013 (Thompson Bros.)
Thompson Bros. married two casks of Loch Lomond's Inchmurrin single malt for this characterful release. Distilled in 2013, the whisky matured for a total of 13 years in an oloroso hogshead and a refill barrel, yielding an outturn of 553 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Overripe peach, white strawberry, freshly emptied bag of salted peanuts, green apples and sultanas. A touch of salinity balances the sweeter notes.
Palate
Strawberry laces, apricot and Golden Grahams, Kopiko Cappuccino candy, hazelnut, lime and cashews.
Finish
Fruity and nutty with the oloroso bringing depth to this bright spirit.
