Description

Loch Lomond Single Grain Distiller’s Choice is actually distilled entirely from malted barley, but because it's done using a Coffey still it's classed as 'single grain'! Aged in a selection of both first-fill and second-fill American oak bourbon barrels and bottled at 48.8% ABV, it has layers of elegant fruit and floral character.

Nose

Soft peaches and creamy coconut are joined by rich chocolate and dark sweet blackcurrant.

Palate

A velvety mouthfeel brings red berries, crumbly fudge, vanilla, and cinnamon.

Finish

Long and delicately sweet.

Experimental

Light bodied. Perfumey on the nose and palate, but not spirity. Sweet. Having said that, it’s pricey. Try the standard Single Grain (Red & Black tube) instead if curious about the style, it’s better value for money.
