Prometheus 27 Year Old Bottling Note

A Speyside single malt whisky from an undisclosed distillery bottled by the Glasgow Distillery Company under their Prometheus label. Prometheus is a rather good name for these releases, meaning 'forethought' in Ancient Greek. Prometheus was also the titan who is said to have given man fire, essential for distillation (even if few still are direct fired these days). Matured in first fill Spanish Sherry Casks, 1.500 bottles have been produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Producer's Tasting Note:
Rich, round, soft and fruity with a hint of lightly charred oak on the nose, delivering a powerful, savoury, spicy taste with a long, slightly smoky finish.
