Glasgow 1770 The Original Cask Strength Batch 03
This cask-strength edition of Glasgow 1770 The Original was made with unpeated malted barley and double distilled at Glasgow Distillery. The whisky initially matured in first-fill bourbon casks before a finish in heavily charred virgin American white oak from Kelvin Cooperage. Three casks were selected and combined for Batch 03, producing a limited release of 750 bottles, presented at 60% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Seville orange marmalade, dried apricot, toffee apple, vanilla, and toasted oak.
Palate
Poached pear, pineapple, caramel, orange peel, creamy malt, and warming oak spice.
Finish
Toasted fruit, vanilla, charred oak, and pepper.
