Glasgow 1770 White Port Cask Finish - Triple Distilled
This six-year-old single malt from Glasgow Distillery’s Small Batch Series showcases the distillery’s rare triple-distilled style, produced for just a short window each year. The spirit was matured for 4 years and 7 months in first fill bourbon barrels before being reracked into French oak hogsheads that previously held White Port from Portugal’s Douro Valley. Bottled at 53.3% ABV, this two-cask marriage delivers a bright, citrus-forward profile shaped by a high cut point and a lighter, more refined spirit style. A limited outturn of 720 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Lemon peel, lime oil, and crisp green apple, followed by peach skin, pineapple chunks, and a drizzle of runny honey.
Palate
Vanilla cream, honeydew melon, and soft orchard fruit, all wrapped in floral sweetness.
Finish
Pastry cream, tinned peaches, and a lingering citrus oil note.
