Auchroisk whisky was launched and sold under the name The Singleton in 1986 due to it being fairly difficult to read and pronounce (say it like "OH-thrusk", so pretty much not how it's spelt at all). The Singleton is now used for other Diageo whiskies, although now Auchroisk whisky is just called Auchroisk, despite it still being pretty difficult to say.
This bottling of The Singleton of Auchroisk was distilled in 1975 and matured until circa 1990, when it was bottled. A very rare collector's item.

My husband brought me a bottle of this in December 1988 from Scotland. I know the date since the Pan Am 103 incident happened while he was there It is still wonderful.

Long since my father's passing we have a tiny tipple to show our respect. Not being whiskey lovers, this is but the finest we have tasted. One we will continue to share.
