Pierre Ferrand Sélection des Anges Reviews
Excellent choice, you'll be pleased.
Very enjoyable cognac. I've drank cognac for a decade and while I'm no expert this is easily my favorite moderately priced one. Smooth, mellow, a hint of sweet, nuts, and oak. Nothing bitter and very smooth going down. It's worth the money.

New to Cognac
I am new to Cognac but it is has always been a drink that I have been intrigued by so decided to test my palate with a few samples. After tasting some of the top XO's I found that I enjoyed the smoother Cognac's like the Ragnaud-Sabourin Grande Champagne. I have just tried a sample of this drink, I found the nose to be excellent very rich in fruit and smooth, I could not pick up the cocoa butter as stated in the description but that might be down to my inexperience. I agree with the comment above as the initial mouthful was a bit watery but the palate for me was great very smooth with a little spice kicking in, I could definitely taste the gingerbread. The finish was warm and a little spicy but overall I really enjoyed this particular Cognac.

A Very Enjoyable Cognac
The nose on this is very mellow. Honey, oak and vanilla. It's almost like a smooth Argentinean Malbec.
It tastes like ripe bananas, ginger, cinnamon, oak, and a bit of alcohol. Superb.
I will take a star off, as the initial mouthfeel is a bit watery, but it's still a good, competent, enjoyable cognac.
