Tamdhu 50 Year Old Bottling Note

50 year old single malt from the Tamdhu distillery in Speyside. Drawn from a single first-fill European oak Sherry butt which was filled in November 1963, this whisky waited patiently for half a century before being bottled at 55.6% ABV (an impressive strength for such an old whisky). Just 100 bottles were produced.

Tamdhu 50 Year Old Reviews

Great for birthdays

Comes with a set of 7 different fizzy flavourings in convenient single-serve packets. It was my brothers birthday so I got him this - every at the party loved it!

The spirit itself is a bit rough (55.5% so you're getting a lot for your money but you'll want to dilute it down with water/ice/mixer of your choice), but the fizzy powders make it a different experience to other party drinks. My wife loves the cherry, I prefer lemon!
