User Reviews of the Tamdhu 10 Year Old

Well...

I couldn't be happier with this bottle. Smooth, sweet(in a dark fruit sense, not your bright fruitiness of most Speysides), cereal, toasty, maybe hints of cardamom.
For the price, it's hard to beat if you're looking for great sherried Speyside experience

Not bad

A bit too serried for my liking.

Delicious- smooth as they come

This is one ridiculously smooth whisky. The sherry notes are all there and it has a very nice mouthful. I am usually an islay and island drinker (Laphroaig and lagavulin being my top 2 favorites)but when I'm looking for a tasty Sherried cask that is ridiculously smooth and a chocolate mouth feel I'll pour a dram of the tamdhu.

unbelievably beautiful

I do like a nice sherry whisky but this is by far and away the nicest that I have had. simply amazing. the person below describing it as like liquid toffee has it spot on. my favourite whisky by a long way and at an amazing price.

ambrosia

Flavorful and smooth beyond its age. Macallan is normally my go-to single malt with Select Oak being my favorite. Tamdhu has even more flavor, aroma, texture, and is incredibly smooth. Paired with a Fuente I had a wonderful afternoon. I plan on stocking up and seeking out the cask strength and special editions.

Oh Tamdhu !

I bought this last week but as I have been enjoying my #whiskyadventcalendar I hadn't opened it - til last night. Oh boy. Each sip leaves you wanting the next. Deliciously smooth with no harshness in the alcohol or aroma. Just delightful.

Tamdhu whiskey review.

This is the most delicious smooth drink. Bought for me as a birthday present and it is the most perfect present although the problem is it is consume able so it does not last long because it is soooo Moreish. It is smooth and mellow.with a lingering aftertaste, wonderful.

A Modern Classic

I first tried this easy-drinking malt in the late nineties. It was fantastic value back then and it still is. I saw three Canadian tourists in Pitlochry, Scotland, stampede and buy all three bottles off the shelf - delighted with their purchase. It made me smile and I can understand why!

One of my favorites.

Yes, its a nice bottle but its one of the best Speysides available at the moment. Its made in a old style (non computerised) distillery with real skill and expertise. I find it better than either Macallan or Glenlivet. A lovely dram.

Very Well Made

I love this. Classic Spayside and wonderfully sheried. Do not think you are paying over the odds for the bottle as you are not.Having said that Mrs N has claimed it when empty.
