Orkney 2009 Samaroli Bottling Note

A mystery Orkney single malt from Samaroli. We know it was distilled in 2009, but we don't know where – though we can narrow it down to one of the two distilleries on the island! It matured in a single cask until 2020 when it was bottled at 45% ABV, with an outturn of just 478 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Violet florals and a blustery sea breeze, with some peppery oak.

Palate: Heather and sweet malt appears alongside savoury seaweed notes and chalky mineral undertones.

Finish: A coastal, medicinal finish with a burst of singed heather.
