An indie bottling of Laphroaig single malt, which spent a dozen years maturing in a refill hogshead - from September 2004 to February 2017. Following that, the whisky was bottled by Hunter Laing as part of their Old Malt Cask range, with an outturn of 324 bottles.
Nose: Oatcakes and apple chutney, black tea, coastal air and honey'd malt.
Palate: Juicy orchard fruits and boiled sweet. Seaweed and and tarry ropes.
Finish: Very long indeed, with peat smoke sticking around.
