Bruichladdich 23 Year Old 1993 - Single Cask (Master of Malt) Reviews

Outstanding

I've been lucky enough to receive this one as a gift. What a whisky! It almost reminds me of an old Calvados (french apple spirit), or an old armagnac. Taste-wise, there are apples and spice. I made some non whisky drinkers drink it... they now like whisky. Incredible.

Juicy sawdust?

Sounds unlikely, but there's a definite edge of Fresh oak to this, but it's kept firmly in check by the passion-fruit and ripe papaya.
