Bruichladdich 15 Year Old 2008 (cask 2525) - Micro Provenance Series
This unpeated Bruichladdich was distilled on 22 September 2008 using Optic barley. The whisky was finished in a third-fill Syrah wine cask before bottling in 2024 as part of the Micro Provenance Series. The relatively restrained refill wine cask adds red fruit and spice while allowing Bruichladdich’s malt, citrus, and coastal character to remain visible. Cask 2525 produced only 300 bottles.

Nose
Red berries, lemon peel, sweet barley, sea air, and soft pepper.
Palate
Raspberry, plum skin, malt biscuits, citrus oil, and gentle wine spice.
Finish
Red fruit, barley sugar, coastal minerals, and oak.
