Here at MoM Towers, we’ve spent plenty of time tasting, sampling, and mixing our way through some of the world’s finest drinks over the years, so naturally, we develop staff favourites.

We could be all selfish and keep our thoughts to ourselves. Or we could pass on our knowledge and share our passion with you lovely people.

We thought it would be fun to round up some staff standouts and recommend them to you.

We’d also love to hear from you! Suggest your favourites in the comments below.

Fantastic staff favourites we think you’ll love!

Kilkerran 8 Year Old Cask Strength – Bourbon Cask Matured (57.7%) 70cl Whisky

Picked by: Adam O’Connell, content marketing manager.

Why it made the cut: Cask strength (57.7% ABV), but wears it so well. All the orchard and tropical fruits intensify among the vanilla, caramel, and coconut of the bourbon cask into a sweet soup of single malt. This Kilkerran may have spent just eight years maturing, but it’s a great example of why younger doesn’t mean inferior.

Kyrö Malt Rye Whisky (47.2%) 70cl

Picked by: Dave Worthington, ATOM Group whisky ambassador

Why it made the cut: I’m completely on board with the brand’s “RYEvolution” philosophy, which treats rye as a versatile, “flavour-first” grain that defies traditional expectations, moving far beyond standard spicy profiles to create bold, honest expressions. They range from the earthy, toasted bread notes of the ‘White Label’ to the “gloriously dirty” character of the Wood Smoke. Ultimately, I find the whisky compelling because it is “rye, but not as they know it,” perfectly balancing a respect for regional identity with the innovative spirit that consistently pushes the boundaries of what a European rye can be.

Clairin Vaval 2022 70cl Rum

Picked by: Emma Symons, content executive

Why it made the cut: Super funky sugarcane rhum from Haiti, all ambient yeasts and esters. Juicy, tropical, and so distinctive. Open the bottle, and you’ll smell it from across the room in no time. Shake it up in a Daiquiri (heavy on the lime, careful with the syrup), and you will steal my heart in seconds.

Nohaca Reposado Tequila 70cl

Picked by: Giovana Petry, head of physical product

Why it made the cut: It’s safe to say Nohaca Reposado has my heart. It is absolutely delicious, and the first thing that hits you is how fresh it tastes. Bright agave notes make it rich on the palate, yet it never feels heavy. It’s made from single-origin blue agave grown in the Arandas highlands of Jalisco, then rested in American oak. Even the bottle is thoughtful, with recycled glass, an agave-fibre label and a compostable seal. I love to drink it neat and slowly, savouring every sip. It just reminds me why I love it. I wanted to say that it tastes as premium as it looks, but I couldn’t find a way to write that without sounding like a knob.

Benromach 12 Year Old 70cl Whisky (46%) 70cl Whisky

Picked by: Danni Coletta, marketing campaigns manager

Why it made the cut: A new Benromach! This addition to the Benromach core range is truly delicious and very easy to drink. It’s rich and fruity with a gentle spice, which keeps sending me back to my drinks trolley after dinner for another little sip. This dram has a whisper of peat that even those who aren’t big smoke lovers will heartily enjoy.

Westland 7 Year Old Single Cask – Cask 6205 (Master of Malt Exclusive) 70cl Whiskey

Picked by: Jake Mountain, senior doer of things & drinks expert

Why it made the cut: This is a gem I was genuinely annoyed I couldn’t put my name to in our monthly Top 10 Whiskies when it was released, as our buyer Michael got in there first. Grrr, Michael. (Shakes fist.) Westland, if you’re not already familiar, are a B Corp that produce American single malts like a Pacific Northwest craft brewer.

We’re talking saison yeast and a signature five-malt barley bill featuring Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, and Brown Malt! Exciting full-flavoured choices, including rich, roasted malts rarely seen in whiskies (but common in dark beers, including porters and stouts). It’s this sort of thing that first made me super excited about American single malt as a category (one that was only officially recognised in the US in 2025). That and the fact that their logo puts me in mind of skate brand Element in its early 2000s pomp…

This one’s a single cask. One that’s exclusive to MoM. With spirit that, although unpeated, followed a production run of heavily peated spirit. There’s a pleasing residual background note. Cask 6205 is then one of just two Jurançon French white wine casks (the wine is famous for its high acidity and marmalade tang) filled in 2018 following a period in a Cooper’s Select (new American oak with a light toast and heavy char) barrel. Just great stuff. And a handful of bottles are still available…
