Wine can be confusing, Italian wine especially so. This is a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Tuscany which you would think would made from the montepulciano grape. But you'd be wrong! It's made from sangiovese, the famous grape of Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino. Basically, if you like a nice Tuscan red, then you'll like this. And it's made from organically-grown grapes!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Bittersweet dark cherries and raspberry predominate with old leather, tobacco, and liquorice. Firm tannins with plenty of juicy fruit.
