From the Salcheto winery in Tuscany comes this superb Chianti red wine. Produced from a core of Sangiovese grapes, harvested in 2020 following a challenging growing season, with everything from heat waves to hail storms thrown at the poor Tuscan vineyards. Despite this, the vines prevailed and after partial maturation in American oak, the wine was bottled up in a magnificent magnum bottle. Ideal if you're having a larger group for dinner!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Deep notes of cherry, with tangy raspberry and cranberry softening peppery, drying oak. Darker plum and blackcurrant bring along wafts of leather and earthy spice.
