Wines from Galicia in northern Spain are some of the best accompaniments to seafood on the planet. This cooler weather in this damp part of the country leads to fresh wines. The native grape albariño has become quite well-known but the region is home to some other delicious varieties like godello. This is fresh and zippy with a creaminess imparted by four months ageing on its lees. Delightful, especially with a big plate of gambas a la plancha.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Sharp citrus nose. Lean and fresh on the palate, green apples, lemons and a little creaminess on the finish.
