This comes from Montalcino in Tuscany - home of the great Brunello di Montalcino. Unlike its big brother, it's made from a cocktail of grapes including cabernet sauvignon, sangiovese and merlot, and it's fermented in stainlesss steel and aged in concrete for maximum freshness. This would be absolutely superb with pasta with courgette and aubergine.
Juicy red cherry and blackcurrant, fragrant and floral with supple tannins and a long spicy finish.
