Giato is a union of two of Sicily's native red grapes, the famous Nero d'Avola, and the not quite so famous Perricone. The producer Centopassi is a union too, of two of the island's best cooperatives. This comes from the Verzanica vineyard located in the west of the island, not far from the capital, Palermo. The wine is unoaked to preserve all that delicious juicy fruit. This is a great midweek sort of wine.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Silky tannins and lots of red fruit, with berry sweetness and lively acidity.
