Dating back to 1989, an eternity in the rapidly-changing world of South African wine, Bouchard Finlayson is a joint venture between Burgundian winemaker, Paul Bouchard, and local winemaker, Peter Finlayson, in Walker Bay. This is one of the coolest parts of Cape, and as you might expect from the Burgundy connection, it's perfect for growing elegant chardonnay.
This Missionvale cuvee was fermented in a mixture of oak and clay amphora (which brings freshness), and aged in oak before bottling. It won a silver medal at both the IWC and IWSC competitions.
Fresh lemon with lemon rind, peach and melon with creamy vanilla and almond notes.
