From the Benati winery in Sicily, it's the 2017 vintage Etna Rosso. This Italian red wine is made using grapes grown on the slopes of Mount Etna, an active volcano! The Contrada Cavaliere vineyard is located on the south western slope, known for its high elevation and low rainfall. The sandy volcanic soil imparts a wonderful minerality to this extremely quaffable wine.
Ripe berries and cherries, chalky flint, dark plums, and an earthy minerality.
