Pulteney 19yo 2002 #18987 Bottling Note

From the Pultney Whisky Distillery comes this marvellous single malt, independently bottled by Hunter Laing. Distilled in 2002, the whisky was matured in a single bourbon barrel for 19 years, which finally yielded an outturn of 250 bottles in 2022. You don't see indie bottlings of Pultney all that often, so this should be rather exciting for fans of the distillery.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Chocolate peanuts, apple peels, and wafts of orchard blossom welcome the way, with toffee, and polished oak.

Palate: More oaken depth, with tannic wafts of tobacco mingling with earthen vanilla, creamy barley, and nutty meringue.

Finish: Plenty of woody char, leather, and baking spice, with warming, biscuity malt.
