Pulteney 13yo 2008 #8 Bottling Note

From the Pulteney Distillery in the northern Scottish Highlands comes this superb single malt. Matured for 13 years between May 2008 and January 2022, it initially spent its time in bourbon barrels, before being transferred over to a fresh sherry butt for a generous 42 month finishing period! Independently bottled by Signatory for its Cask Strength Collection, a total of 643 bottles were released.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Flaky pastry with toasted almonds, vanilla fudge, warm cinnamon buns.

Palate: Soft sultanas, prunes, and dense dried fruits balance a rich depth of cakey spice, with subtle wafts of salinity poking through.

Finish: Cinnamon and nutmeg are softened by hints of praline and creamy oak.
