An impressive offering from Copper & Kings, this is a 50/50 blend of four-year-old grape brandy and cask-matured apple spirit from the Kentucky-based distillery. It was bottled up by That Boutique-y Spirits Company, which has been trying to get the name 'Grapple' to catch on for this deliciously fruity offering. We love a bit of Boutique-y geekery, and you can try the two component spirts from this blend individually in the form of the first two batches that it bottled up from Copper & Kings – Copper & Kings Brandy 4 Year Old, and Copper & Kings Cask Matured Apple Spirit 4 Year Old.
Batch 3 is a release of 135 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Bright and tropical with zesty mandarin, crisp apple, and dried mango backed by sweet berries and sultanas.
Palate
A splendid tangle of sweet, crisp apples and juicy raisins, with caramelised nuts and baking spices in tow.
Finish
Layers of fruit compote, sherried oak, and candied nuts.
