Highland Wineries

Mead, one of the oldest alcoholic drinks in history, has seen quite the resurgence recently (find out more about that over on our blog)! Moniack Mead is a traditional honey mead, produced at Moniack Castle by Highland Wineries, through the process of fermenting honey. A fun mead fact: traditionally, after a wedding the bride and groom were given enough mead to last then one month, which is where the term ‘honeymoon’ came from!
Smooth and warming with a certain dryness, prominent honey and caramel flavours without being overly sweet, along with light floral notes.

Super smooth just be careful as its nearly 15% and goes down way too easily
It is by far the best I have ever tasted, and I will not buy any Mead until Moniack is again available in the United States.
A truly wonderful libation, one befitting a horn of plenty.....though I would recommend not falling prey to meddlesome games of the Jotun. Capable of bringing the most darkened of hearts to project poetry of sorts. Though it may at times sound like the gibberish of an oafish creature.
A superb Mead, served chilled it is both relaxing and stimulating at the same time in its initial taste and its secondary bite as it is taken down.
Super gorgeous. Mouth watering especially when heated
