Dry Rye Reposado Gin Bottling Note

St. George Spirits' Dry Rye Reposado is like a 3 person tag-team of different drinks!

First, you've got the base of 100% rye grain, just like a rye whiskey, giving it a gloriously malty centre.

Following that, there's the classic gin botanicals: juniper berries, black peppercorn, coriander, caraway, lime and grapefruit peel.

Finally, you've got the finisher. The Dry Rye Reposado is aged for about a year and a half in French and American oak wine casks. Whiskey, gin and wine, all represented in one awesome gin. Ding ding ding! We've got a tasty champion right here!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Spices galore as well as being fruity and creamy. Saffron, caraway, Jelly Beans and coriander jelly. Un-cracked peppercorns, a little dilution brings out more malt and lime.

Palate: Wonderfully round with juniper, rye and fruit jelly accompanying pepper heat. Hugely salivating.

Finish: Warming with grapefruit and candy sticks and but a hint of mint.

Overall: Astonishing stuff that's wonderfully crafted, you'd never guess that this is 49.5% abv despite the intense flavour and peppery heat.

Just add Sugar

This is a ready-made, utterly delicious cocktail. Literally all that's necessary in order to turn this into a fabulous drink is to stir a spoonful of sugar into it, then to rocks it, and add a lemon twist.

Like drinking a very good aged tequila mixed with a very refreshing gin. Somewhat like a Jenever in that regard, but could become a new category all on its own. Worth every penny.
