America
There's a reason why people call the St. George Spirits founder Jörg Rupf "the patron saint of American eau-de-vie". When he founded the craft distillery in 1982, he made eaux-de-vie using the delicious fruits growing in Californian orchards, including a Pear Brandy. This was during a time when very few Americans knew what eau-de-vie was, but Jörg started something big - the American craft distilling movement, something that almost everyone in the USA knows about.
Over 30 years later and delicious Pear Brandy is still being made by St. George Spirits using organic Bartlett pears. It has an incredible aroma of perfectly ripe pears, vibrant and fruity. Absolutely top stuff.
Freshly prepared Pear Tarte Tatin with crispy pastry and an extra sprinkle of cinnamon. Maybe even a slice of apple pie alongside.
Firm but juicy pear flesh, pear peel and old fashioned pear drops coated with plenty of icing sugar.
The finish is warming with cinnamon and icing sugar lasting.
Pure and simple, it's everything you could want from pear eau-de-vie.

Excellent. Clear pear taste wrapped up in an excellent, smooth spirit. One of the best Eaux de Vie de poire I've tasted - and I have tasted some. Well worth the price. Will be back for more.
I've been hooked on this Pear Brandy from St. George. It's simply one of a kind, great fresh aroma when you open the bottle and crisp clean flavor goes down great straight, on the rocks, or in a cocktail. When you mention brandy to people a lot of time they think its sweet, but this is not sweet whatsoever. It's a natural spirit similar to vodka with a bundle of pear on the nose. Must try.
There's more than a touch of the Rhum Agricole about this on the nose, but once you dive into the palate you find a frankly incredible depth of flavour. Pear - oh yeah.
