1. Sagamore High Rye Bourbon 70cl Whiskey

Flavour Profile: Dark brown sugar, grilled peaches, mixed berries and warming spice
Distillery Location: Baltimore, Maryland, USA
Why It’s Worth Trying: This is the first bourbon to join the core range from Maryland’s Sagamore Spirit. Staying true to the distillery’s rye-forward roots, it is triple-distilled from a mash bill of 60% corn, 25% rye and 15% malted rye. Six years in new charred American white oak barrels have brought plenty of brown sugar, grilled fruit and spice to the party.

2. Kilkerran 12 Year Old 70cl Whisky

Flavour Profile: Brine, smoke, citrus, vanilla, and subtle oak.
Distillery Location: Campbeltown, Scotland.
Why It’s Worth Trying: Not a new whisky at all, but new stock of this beauty is always welcome. Made at Campbeltown’s Glengyle Distillery, which reopened in 2004, Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a lightly peated single malt matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration, allowing its oily texture, coastal character and gentle smoke to shine.

3. Octomore 17.3 5 Year Old 70cl Whisky

Flavour Profile: Salted caramel, apple chips, oaken vanilla, ashen, earthy peat smoke.
Distillery Location: Bruichladdich, Islay, Scotland
Why It’s Worth Trying: Octomore has never been a whisky for doing things by halves. Edition 17.3 was distilled from Concerto barley grown in Irene’s Field at Octomore Farm and peated to 132.1 PPM. It then spent five years in first-fill bourbon barrels and second-fill Ribera del Duero, Sauternes, eiswein and syrah wine casks. Expect muscular peat balanced by sweet barley, fruit and coastal salinity.

Flavour Profile: Caramel, buttery brioche nestle beneath floral cut grass and nutty malt.
Distillery Location: Highlands, Scotland
Why It’s Worth Trying: The Heart Cut has just turned 3, so Happy Birthday guys! Scotch isn’t usually their bag, baby, but we can all make exceptions for Ardnamurchan. Distilled in 2019, this single malt spent its entire maturation in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask. The cask supplies sweet stone fruit and caramel while the spirit retains its gentle peat, citrus and coastal salinity.

7. Carsebridge 50 Year Old – Living Souls 70cl Whisky

Flavour Profile: Mandarin, vanilla fudge, cardamom buns, a gentle touch of coconut.
Distillery Location: Lowlands, Scotland
Why It’s Worth Trying: This single grain Scotch comes from Carsebridge, a lost Lowland distillery that closed in 1983. After half a century of maturation and a finish in a first-fill bourbon barrel, the whisky was bottled for the Living Souls collection. It is delicate rather than woody, with citrus, buttery shortbread, vanilla fudge and softly fragrant spice.
