MoM Mystery Drop 2026 T&Cs

1. THE RETAILER: The retailer is Atom Supplies Limited (company registration number 03193057), trading as Master of Malt (MoM) and having its registered office at Unit 1 Ton Business Park, 2-8 Morley Road, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1RA, United Kingdom.  

2. THESE TERMS AND PRIVACY POLICY:  By buying this product, customers confirm they have read and understood these terms, MoM’s Consumer Terms of Business and the MoM Privacy Policy (and the way in which MoM processes personal data), and agree that these terms and the MoM Privacy Policy are binding to them. 

3. ELIGIBILITY: This product is only available for sale to private individuals acting in their capacity as retail consumers who are 18 years or older and also above the legal drinking age in their country of residence and the country to which the product will be shipped.  MoM reserves the right to verify the validity of purchases and customers (including a customer’s identity, age and place of residence) at any time and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse to sell or cancel a sale that has been made to any individual who it believes has breached any of these terms or engaged in any unlawful or improper conduct.

4. HOW TO PURCHASE: There is no limit on the number of  Mystery Boxes that a single individual can purchase. All purchases must be made on masterofmalt.com (the MoM Website) subject to MoM’s standard Consumer Terms of Business, as amended by these terms.  Any determination whether a purchase is valid will be made by MoM at our sole discretion.

5. SALE PERIOD:  Mystery Boxes shall be available for sale from 12:00:00 PM UK time on 20 October 2026 until the earlier of: (i) 11:59:59 AM UK time on 22 October 2026; and (ii) the time at which all Mystery Boxes are sold out (the sale period).  There are only 4,070 Mystery Boxes available. We shall be under no obligation to notify customers that the sale period has ended. 

6. BOX CONTENTS: Each Mystery Box which will contain one of the following bottles:

The sale of each Mystery Box to each customer will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.  

Please note that, save as set out below, Mystery Boxes which have been opened cannot be returned to us. This is to prevent customers from returning Mystery Boxes to us in circumstances where they did not contain the bottle they were hoping for, which would be unfair and undermine the whole purpose of the Mystery Drop products. That said, if the bottle inside a customer’s Mystery Box is faulty or damaged, we will, of course, be happy to provide the customer with a replacement bottle or a refund of the price paid for the Mystery Box (to be determined in MoM’s sole and absolute discretion). Customer’s statutory rights are not affected.  The name of the customer who buys the most valuable bottle (The Glenrothes 51 Year Old) will be announced publicly on MoM’s blog.  By buying a Mystery Box, you are explicitly consenting to this. 

7. SHIPMENT OF MYSTERY BOXES: Save for the Mystery Box containing The Glenrothes 51 year old, all Mystery Boxes will be shipped to each customer on or around 27 October 2026. If any Mystery Box cannot be delivered to the address provided to us by the customer, MoM reserves the right to cancel the customer’s purchase of the Mystery Box and refund the customer for the price paid for the Mystery Box. All customers are solely responsible for the cost of shipping the Mystery Box to their delivery address. Please note shipping costs are not included in the purchase price of the Mystery Box. Where delivery is made outside the United Kingdom, the Buyer is also solely responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT, clearance charges, handling fees, and any other charges imposed in connection with importation or delivery. 

Please note that the buyer of the Mystery Box which contains The Glenrothes 51 year old will be solely responsible, at their sole cost, for collecting their mystery box from a location within the United Kingdom nominated by MoM (in MoM’s sole and absolute discretion).

8. THE GLENROTHES 51 YEAR OLD:

The individual that receives the Mystery Box containing The Glenrothes 51 year old will also be invited to attend an exclusive experience created to celebrate this remarkable whisky: The 51 Reveal Party (Reveal Party). This intimate event gives the buyer of the Glenrothes 51 year old the opportunity to share the story of this bottle with their closest friends or family. Hosted by Georgia Porteous, Brand Ambassador for The Glenrothes, the experience will include an introduction to the history and craftsmanship of the brand, an exploration of what makes The Glenrothes 51 so unique, and a guided tasting of The Glenrothes for the buyer and their guests.  

The guest list is the buyer’s to curate, with invitations for up to 7 guests in addition to the buyer. The event will be planned and delivered by Edrington UK Distribution Limited, registered under the Company Number SC203623, whose registered office is at 100 Queen Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G1 3DN (“ Edrington UK”). Edrington UK will oversee all hospitality and event arrangements, in consultation with the buyer.

At the heart of the experience is the unveiling of The Glenrothes 51 year old. The Glenrothes 51 year old is housed within a sealed jesmonite column, designed to be smashed open, to reveal the whisky inside. Participation in the Reveal Party is therefore contingent upon the ceremonial breaking of the column during the event. Following the unveiling, the fragments of the column will be collected by The Glenrothes and returned to one of our global roster of Kintsugi artists for careful reconstruction and returned to the buyer as a unique memento.

Whether the buyer chooses to open and enjoy the whisky itself remains entirely their decision. However, the Reveal Party offers a unique opportunity for the buyer to celebrate this exceptional whisky with those that are closest to them.

               Terms & Conditions that apply to the Reveal Party

The Reveal Party is only available exclusively to the buyer of The Glenrothes 51 Mystery Box and may be attended by a maximum of eight (8) guests, including the buyer. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that all guests comply with the Reveal Party terms set out herein, venue rules and any other instructions issued by Edrington UK or its representatives. The buyer and their guests will be solely responsible for any costs incurred by them in order to attend the Reveal Party, including any necessary travel expenses.

Edrington UK, will provide food and beverages for the Reveal Party at its discretion, up to a maximum value of £2,500 inclusive of VAT. The final menu, beverage selection and associated costs will be agreed by Edrington UK and its appointed venue or catering partners. No cash alternative will be offered to the buyer, even if the buyer and/or their guests are unable to attend the Reveal Party.

Edrington UK will collaborate with the buyer to identify a suitable venue in the UK and will endeavour to accommodate reasonable preferences. However, all decisions relating to venue selection, event format, suppliers and event delivery shall remain at the sole discretion of Edrington UK.

Participation in the Reveal Party requires the ceremonial breaking of The Glenrothes 51 presentation column during the event (the Reveal Activity). Edrington UK will provide appropriate instructions, protective equipment and safety measures that it considers reasonably necessary for the Reveal Activity. The buyer of the bottle agrees to follow all instructions given by Edrington UK, its representatives and the venue at all times.

Only the buyer may participate directly in the Reveal Activity. Guests must remain within designated spectator areas and comply with any safety instructions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither MoM, Edrington UK or The Glenrothes shall be liable for any loss of or damage to personal property arising from the buyer’s failure to follow safety instructions or from the buyer’s deliberate or reckless conduct during the Reveal Activity. Nothing in these Reveal Party terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

The buyer of The Glenrothes 51 year old will be entitled to participate in the exclusive tasting of The Glenrothes 51 liquid at the event if they accept and participate in a Reveal Party. The whisky tasting experience included within the Reveal Party will typically comprise of The Glenrothes 15 Year Old, 18 Year Old, 25 Year Old and 32 Year Old expressions. Edrington UK reserves the right to substitute any expression with an alternative whisky of comparable quality should circumstances require.

The Reveal Party must take place within three (3) months of the buyer taking receipt of their Mystery Box, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Edrington UK. Any travel, accommodation, incidental expenses or other personal costs incurred by the buyer or their guests in connection with the Reveal Party are not included and will not be reimbursed by Edrington UK or MoM. Any such costs will be at the sole expense of the buyer and their guests.

The buyer and all guests attending the Reveal Party must be 18 years of age or over and must be prepared to provide valid proof of age to attend the Reveal Party.

Edrington UK reserves the right to amend, postpone or cancel the Reveal Party where necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, including venue availability, health and safety considerations, force majeure events, or any other operational requirement.

The buyer and the buyer’s guests are expected to consume alcohol responsibly. Edrington UK reserves the right to refuse service to any attendee where considered necessary for safety, legal or responsible-drinking reasons.

The Glenrothes, Edrington UK and MoM reserve the right to photograph, film and record the Reveal Party and to use any resulting images, video footage and related content for promotional, marketing, public relations, internal communications and archival purposes worldwide and in perpetuity, without additional compensation. Attendance at the Reveal Party constitutes acceptance of these terms. Where reasonably practicable, Edrington UK will notify the buyer of The Glenrothes 51 year old in advance of any planned content capture. All personal information shall be processed by Edrington UK in accordance with Erdington UK’s privacy policy available at: https://www.edrington.com/en/brands-privacy-policy.

The Reveal Party experience, including attendance by a Brand Ambassador, is subject to availability. Where necessary, Edrington UK reserves the right to provide a suitably qualified alternative host or amend event arrangements while maintaining a substantially equivalent experience.

Erdington UK and MoM reserve the right to cancel the Reveal Party upon written notice to the buyer without any liability.

9. UNBOXING COMPETITION Each buyer who lives in the UK will have the chance to win a 70cl bottle of whisky by sharing a video of themselves unboxing their Mystery Box on their Instagram or Facebook account (Unboxing Competition). In order to be eligible for the Unboxing Competition, entrants will need to reside in the United Kingdom, post their unboxing video on their Instagram or Facebook account and include the hashtag #mysterydrop in their post by no later than 11:59:59 PM on 3rd November 2026.  Any determination as to whether an unboxing video meets the eligibility requirements of the Unboxing Competition will be made by MoM in its sole discretion. The promoter of the Unboxing Competition is MoM. 

MoM will choose three winners for the Unboxing Competition out of all eligible entries. Each winner will win one of the following 70cl bottles (which will be allocated at random by MoM in its sole and absolute discretion): Highland Park 17 Year Old Between You and I by Laila Gohar 70cl Whisky, The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Year Old 110 Proof 70cl Whisky, and The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Fresh Coconut 70cl Whisky. The selection of the winners made and the bottles awarded to them for the Unboxing Competition will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. Each prize for the Unboxing Competition is inclusive of packaging and carriage to a valid UK address.

The names of the winners of the Unboxing Competition will be announced on MoM’s blog as soon as practicably. MoM will make reasonable efforts to contact the winners of the Unboxing Competition via email or by telephone as soon as practicable. If any winner of the Unboxing Competition cannot be contacted or has not claimed the prize within 5 calendar days of MoM making reasonable attempts to contact them, MoM reserves the right to select an alternative qualifying entry and to offer the prize to another entrant. MoM cannot accept any responsibility if any winner of the Unboxing Competition is unable to claim the prize within the time limit set out above. 

Let’s be sensible, people. Any content submitted for the purposes of entering the Unboxing Competition must be original material. By entering the Unboxing Competition, entrants warrant and undertake that their entry does not infringe any third party rights. Entrants agree to indemnify MoM from and against any and all third party claims or liabilities relating to or arising out of the content submitted by them or their breach of any of these terms.

All content submitted for the purposes of entering the Unboxing Competition must strictly comply with MoM’s Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, any material which depicts, describes, encourages, endorses or normalises the excessive consumption of alcohol; the consumption of alcohol by those under the age of 25; anti-social behaviour (including any criminal activity) or irresponsible drinking (including rapid drinking); links the consumption of alcohol with popularity or other social success, bravado, technical skill, good fortune, the operation of vehicles or other machinery or therapeutic benefits; or which depicts the consumption of alcohol whilst potentially dangerous activities are being undertaken will be disqualified.

By entering the Unboxing Competition, entrants agree that all right, title and interest in their entries will belong absolutely to MoM. Unboxing Competition entrants agree to assign irrevocably with full title guarantee and free from all third party rights, all intellectual property rights in and to any content submitted with their entry. MoM shall have the right to use, exploit, adapt and edit any content submitted (or part thereof) throughout the universe in perpetuity. By entering the Unboxing Competition, entrants waive all moral rights which they are or become entitled to under Chapter IV of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (or any similar right or entitlement anywhere in the world). Entrants agree to sign any additional documentation which may be required to give effect to this paragraph. 

10. INDEMNITY:  MoM is not in a position to restrict sales to specific jurisdictions, nor to investigate the rules and regulations applicable outside of England and Wales.  We are a company registered in England and Wales, making sales within the UK, and by purchasing a Mystery Box from us you explicitly acknowledge and agree that the sale occurs within the UK and is subject to the laws and regulations of England and Wales only.

If for some reason, it is impossible for the sale to take place entirely in the UK exclusively under the law of England and Wales, MoM reserves the right to void the sale, and provide the buyer with a  full refund, and the Buyer agrees to return the product to MoM at their cost.

By purchasing a Mystery Box from MoM as part of Mystery Drop IV, the Buyer asserts, confirms and undertakes that they have thoroughly researched the relevant laws and regulations in (i) their country of residence; and (ii) the country they place the order from; and (iii) the country to which the order is being delivered and have determined that no aspect of the Mystery Drop product or process violates any applicable law or regulation in any of these countries. Where the Buyer is unqualified to make such a determination, the Buyer asserts, confirms and undertakes that they have engaged a qualified expert to make such a determination on their behalf.

The Buyer agrees to indemnify MoM against any loss or claim or enforcement action by any competent authority, including the costs of investigating and fighting any claim or enforcement action, arising from their purchase of a Mystery Box and our sale of a Mystery Box to them.

The Buyer further agree that if it is discovered or determined by MoM that their purchase of a Mystery Box or MoM’s sale of a Mystery Box violates any applicable law or regulation, MoM may, at our sole discretion, void the sale and issue the buyer with a full refund, and that the Buyer will (at their own cost) return the Mystery Box the brought to MoM. In the event that MoM voids the sale, both MoM and the Buyer agree that the sale never took place.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:  MoM shall not be responsible for any purchase which does not qualify for any reason (for example, due to technical error, payment error or connection failure). In addition, MoM shall not be responsible for any customer entries to the Unboxing Competition that do not qualify due to the entries being delayed or lost for any reason (for example, due to technical error or connection failure). MoM shall not be responsible for delivery of any Mystery Box or Unboxing Prize to an incorrect address.  MoM will not be able to ship an Unboxing Prize to anyone who is not able to provide a valid shipping address in the United Kingdom. In such circumstances, MoM will cancel the Unboxing Prize and choose an alternative winner instead.  Insofar as is permitted by law, none of MoM, its agents, employees, and/or representatives shall be responsible or liable to compensate any Unboxing Competition entrant and/or winners and or Buyers of any Mystery Boxes for any loss, damage, personal injury or death whatsoever and howsoever caused, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with their participation in the Unboxing Competition (including in taking up any prize) or purchase of a Mystery Drop, except where caused by the proven negligence of MoM, its employees, and/or its authorised representatives. 

12. GENERAL: All Mystery Boxes and prizes for the Unboxing Competition are provided by MoM (unless explicitly stated otherwise herein) and are strictly non-negotiable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for any equivalent cash value, cash alternative, or for any other items (including another Mystery Box). MoM reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes for the Unboxing Competition or products in the Mystery Boxes with alternative prizes/products of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. MoM may contact the customers for feedback in respect of the Mystery Box initiative (including the Unboxing Competition) and may use any feedback provided when announcing the results and promoting the competition or subsequent competitions. All decisions relating to the Unboxing Competition will be made in MoM’s absolute discretion and will be final. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into. Should a social media channel be used in connection with the Unboxing Competition, MoM confirms that the competitions are not sponsored or endorsed by the relevant social media platform, and that said social media platform is in no way affiliated or associated with MoM. By entering the Unboxing Competition, users agree to release that social media channel from any and all liability related to the competitions. These Terms are governed by English law. The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction unless the customer is a resident of Scotland, in which case that customer may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
