Vinas del Vero Secastilla Garnacha 2017 75cl

Spanish garnacha (aka grenache) just gets better and better. The grape is (probably) native to Aragon but for years garnacha was thought of as a workhorse variety, good for blending and rosados. Now though, winemakers are taking it seriously and the results are stunning as with this red from Somontano, in Aragon funnily enough. This comes from nearly 100 year old vines so the grapes are immensely concentrated with just a little syrah added for spice. This will need some hearty food like shoulder of lamb.
