
By Vardon Kennett, this limited-production, vintage sparkling wine, is made with the traditional method, using native yeast and carefully selected Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Xarel·lo grapes from the Alt Penedès vineyards - without adding any liqueurs or wines from other years.
After an initial partial fermentation in the barrel, the 2013 vintage was aged for 30 months in the bottle, and underwent complete malolactic fermentation, to reduce the high acidity resulting from cold weather in 2013. Elegant, balanced, and with an exciting aging potential, Esplendor is a fitting title for this Vardon Kennett production.
The minerality is complemented by fresh citrus fruit and buttery brioche.
