This is a very good price for a Rioja Reserva of this quality. It's made from a blend of tempranillo, garnacha and mazuelo (aka carignan), and aged in French oak for two years followed by a long rest in the bottle. What you're getting here is a beautifully smooth mellow red that would really sing with leg of lamb.
Cooked strawberries and cassis with notes of clove, cinnamon, coconut and vanilla. Full-bodied with ripe soft tannins and a long tobacco-scented finish.
