Red wine from the Cirò region of Italy, this 2016 vintage from Sergio Arcuri combines Gaglioppo grapes from the clay and red soil Piane Di Franze vineyard with a smaller portion of grapes from the coastal Piciara vineyard. After fermentation, the wine is aged for two years in concrete and 6 months in the bottle prior to release. This would go great with Italian dishes – we're thinking a good Bolognese!
Dark forest fruits and berries meet earthy, herbal tannic notes developing into balsamic poached stone fruits.
