Marvellous Chianti from Italy's Salcheto, produced predominantly using sangiovese grapes, alongside helpings of canaiolo, mammolo, and merlot. Invite your friends over to enjoy this double bottle and serve with a good meaty stew or a rich mushroom risotto. It's worth decanting just before serving if you've got a big enough jug.

Ripe plum and jammy redcurrant, with a touch of dry spice, firm tannins and a little leather on the finish.
