Helmsman is made from the classic Bordeaux duo of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in New South Wales with the fruit coming largely from Cowra, Orange and Mudgee. It's made by top family-owned Australian Robert Oatley. This is a great Sunday lunch sort of wine, think roast beef, or richer dishes like slow-cooked ox cheeks.
