A lovely Spanish red from Raúl Pérez, La Poulosa La Vizcaina 2018 is made from mencía, bastardo, and garnacha tintorera grapes, harvested from vines between 60 to 80 years old. Before bottling, the wine was rested in French oak barrels for 12 months, imparting some buttery brioche notes to the fresh fruit.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
A touch creamy, with gently sweet fruit, blueberries, sticky liquorice, and a clay-like mineral undertone.
