This 2017 vintage La Poulosa La Vizcaina from Raúl Pérez is made from mencía, bastardo, and garnacha tintorera grapes, harvested from vines between 60 to 80 years old. The wine was rested in French oak barrels for 12 months before bottling, lending some soft, buttery notes to the fresh fruit.
Sweet cherries and blueberries, with a flaky pastry note. There's some liquorice spice too, and a touch of earthy minerals.
