Rall White 2020
Cape blends are South Africa's speciality. These makes use of the sheer variety of grapes grown here to make complex unique white wines. This latest vintage from Rall is made up of 68% chenin, 28% verdelho and 4% viognier. Each component is aged in old oak casks, no new oak here, before blending together to create this textured, complex white. It's a bit of an all-rounder at the table but we think it would be particularly nice with a Wiener schnitzel.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Intense lemons, peaches, limes and green apples initially, then the wine fills out with a textured creamy feel and a very long finish. Manages to be both opulent and refreshing at the same time.
