Delicious Barolo from one of the region's finest producers Pio Cesare. This is made from 100% nebbiolo and aged in large old casks. Despite the traditional techniques, this is made in a more accessible style that Barolos of old. Yes, the tannins are firm, but there's plenty of fruit, so with some big meaty dishes, you could quite happily drink this now. Or stash a few bottles away for 5-10 years and you will be richly rewarded.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Wafts of strawberry, rose petal and aromatic spicy notes on the nose. Delicate fruit, a little nuttiness and firm tannins with great freshness and poise. Absolute classic Barolo.
