
Pio Cesare is one of the top producers in Barolo but if you're looking for something a bit more everyday we can heartily recommend its barbera and a much more reasonable price. This is made from 100% hand-picked barbera which are aged in small oak barrels.Now five years old this has mellowed considerably but not at the expense of its bitter cherry frehness. Try with all kinds of meat dishes, risotto, pasta and hard cheeses.
