The traditional Spanish style of rosé or rosado is darker and sturdier than wines from Provence. This delicious example from Penedès is a blend of merlot and tempranillo with Catalan variety sumoll negre. This would be excellent with a piece of seared tuna and a tomato salad.
Ripe strawberries on the nose. On the palate it's full-bodied with lots of red fruit, and just a touch of tannin. Very tasty versatile rosé.
